A lesson for Mama and a lesson for Luca

Today both Mama and Luca learned a valuable lesson. Mama learned that baking soda and water does a great job of removing crayon from walls (though she still hasn’t figured out how to get it off the sofa). Luca learned that cleaning crayon off walls is not nearly as much fun as putting it on.

Luca has new caretaker now

Laolao (姥姥) and Laoye(姥爷) are Luca’s new part time caretakers now. He went to the park with Laolao and Celinda today and had a great time. Baba found their photos (with their granddaughter Celinda) on the Internet :-). It is a story on Tianjin Daily about their daughter and American son-in-law.

At the zoo

In honor of Granny and Grampy’s upcoming trip to India, Luca paid a visit to the camels and elephants and tigers and chimpanzees at the Oakland Zoo yesterday. He seemed a little skeptical of these “elephants,” which didn’t look anything like the elephants he has been friends with his whole life.
