Luca’s imagination

Our conversation during the drive home from school yesterday: Luca: “Mama, there’s a tiger.” Mama: “Where?” L: “In the wheel.” M: “In what wheel?” L: “In our car wheel.” M: “What is a tiger doing in the car wheel?” L: [makes crying noise] “Crying.” M: “Why is the tiger crying?” L: “His tummy hurts.”

Snow day!

Luca spent the weekend at his friend Kai’s “snow house” in Lake Tahoe where the two boys bounced off the walls, played Pooh sticks with pine cones, went skiing, went sledding, ate out, watched the railroad tracks, and hung out with Kai’s canine friends Tahoe and Shasta. Letters for Owen

Luca just sat down, picked up a pen and a post-it note and said, “I need to write some letters to Owen.” He then drew very carefully on the post-its and said, “C, N, A and L. I write those letters for Owen.”
