The Bear Went Over the Mountain
Today Shu Ren performed their all-school musical, the Bear Went Over the Mountain. Luca starred as Bunny #3 and had two lines all to himself. Watch him say one here (listen carefully, he talks first).
Boring old Tasi
The other day Tasi did something exceptionally adorable so Mama said, “Tasi, you’re so cute.” To which she replied, “I’m NOT cute.” Mama: “So what are you?” T: “Just plain old boring Tasi.”
Butterflies!
On Mother’s Day, we released our butterflies to the world. They didn’t want to leave Luca’s fingers but once they did they flew off into the world and we haven’t seen them since.
Chrysalides
We thought they were going to be chrysalides. They were going to fall because Tasya was moving them. We moved them into their new home! Love, Luca

For Tasya’s third birthday, Granny gave her a butterfly habitat. The caterpillar babies arrived a few days later. T is 3!
And we had a little party to celebrate. Someone got very shy all of a sudden when it came time to blow out the candles. But she lit right up when “Chachi” arrived!

Wise beyond her years
Tonight after dinner, both Luca and Tasya decided to sit quietly at the dinner table and work on puzzles. As she worked, Tasya sang to herself in Chinese: “My youth has flown like a bird, never to return…”
