Lucaisms, Part II

Tonight at dinner, I was clearing the plates and as I got to Luca’s, he said, “I’m still working on it.” Like I’m a waitress or something.

A few days ago when Luca and I were making zucchini bread, I got some honey on my fingers and licked it off. Luca said, “I want some! I want some!” I explained that it’s not good to just eat honey and I was just “cleaning off my fingers.” Two minutes later I turned around and found Luca with his hands in the honey pot. He looked at me with a completely straight face and said, “I’m just cleaning off my fingers.”

Luca is now very proud when he does something all by himself. So after he climbs up on the chair, or takes off his pants, or changes the CD in the CD player, he shouts out, “I did it by felfs!”
