Luca has been learning about dichotomies. Recently, whenever he is asked to do something he doesn’t like, he immediately divides the world into good and bad and chooses sides. For example, in the bath the other night, Mama said it was time to get out, to which Luca replied “Out No! Bubble Yeah!”.
But usually this technique applies to Mama or Baba. The other day, when he was trying to go outside and Baba wouldn’t let him, he tripped on a box and immediately cried, “Baba Noooo! Mama Yeah!”. Half an hour later, Mama wouldn’t give him something he wanted so it was “Mama Noooo! Baba Yeah!”. When he wanted Mama to pick him up, it was again “Mama Yeah! Baba No!”. Mama tried to explain that he doesn’t have to choose between us – it could be “Mama Yeah! Baba Yeah!”. Baba added that once that happens, we will shout “Luca Yeah!”. But we have yet to hear it.
